About The Festival

We welcome you to 2026 Edition of the “Swahili Choir Festival”. This Festival brings together Choirs, individual singers and choir conductors from different countries across Europe, USA and Asia; all congregating in Kenya with an aim to learn new Cultures and different genres of music. During this Festival, we aim to have visiting choirs to all learn different Swahili songs which gets to be sang during rehearsals, workshops and the final gala concert. We also identify different choir conductors visiting with their choirs to teach one song from their culture/language/tradition. This means each visiting choir and director, gets to teach some songs from different cultures and genres and also gets to learn a song from different cultures. This Festival is open to different choirs specializing in different genres including improvisation, classic music, barbershop music, acapella music, cultural music among many other genres. The Festival is open to both singers and non – singers.
