ElJohns Music Fest 2027
About ElJohns Music Fest
ElJohns Music Village - Kenya; An Initiative established by Mziki Tours, was born from the need to bridge a significant gap in Kenya’s music education space; and provide a platform where international music students or teachers can explore on the evolution of African music through exchange programs and internship activities. Eljohns serves as a hub for learning, creativity, and collaboration among music students and teachers.
“ELJOHNS MUSIC FEST” which is hosted at the music school is an annual music festival providing a platform for school choirs, music students, teachers and parents from Europe, USA, Africa and Asia to integrate, learn from each other, exploring new music ideas that could shape their careers, attend music masterclasses, lessons, workshops, capacity building, learn new music cultures and participating in joint concerts and of course experiencing the African safari. The Festival can be participated by music students, school choirs, musicians, teachers and lecturers and parents accompanying their kids.
We identify music teachers from our school and those from international schools who get to teach different music skills with an intention to empower the participating students and school choirs. Importantly, students get to be taken through the African music education, evolution of it’s genres, African rhythms among others.
