Nakuru Choir Festival.

31st May – 7th June 2023

In partnership with Vaasa Choir Festival Organizers, we have planned for Nakuru Choir Festival event which shall take place on the dates 31.5.2023 – 7.6.2023. The Festival aims at bringing together Choirs from Finland and Kenya to participate in different musical and adventurous activities as listed in the table below. We are therefore calling upon Choirs, ensembles or individual singers from Finland to participate in this once in a lifetime adventurous and music filled tour to Kenya by registering by reaching out to us. Upon making your registration, all other things are handled for you, so you do not need to worry about anything. We arrange for you a stress free musical and adventurous trip.

31/5/22– Arrival and Airport pick up, depending on what time the flights will be arriving, we might either spend the night in Nairobi or drive straight to Nakuru, usually takes about 3 hours.
– Orientation.
1/6/22– A refreshing trip to The Thompson Falls; One of the main National waterfalls in Kenya, the only waterfall that is closest to the equator in the world and stands at 2360m in elevation with lots of African shops around. On the way, visit the equator point and enjoy the scenic, amazing views of the Rift valley adventurous landscapes.
– Music workshops with music students and student choirs.
– Concert at school.
– Evening music party and bonfire during the night.
2/6/22– Music workshops and joint rehearsals with local singers.
– Learning simple Finnish and African songs.
– Concert at a University.
– Mass choir singing with local choirs.
– Evening concert at the City.
3/6/22– Music workshops, sharing musical experiences with local choirs.
– Flashmob and Street Concert in Nakuru City.
– Concert during the day.
– Team buildings and Joint choir rehearsals with local singers.
– Mass choir rehearsals.
– Evening music cocktail party and groups performing for each other.
4/6/22– Singing in different Churches.
– Gala concert preparations and sound check.
– Photo session at the red carpet before the concert.
– Gala Concert.
5/6/22– Exclusive Rift valley adventure day; Including an early morning Safari/Game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park.
– Created millions of years ago by tectonic plate movement, Kenya’s Rift Valley is famed for its magnificent views and pristine game reserves. Our exclusive Rift Valley Adventure Day encompasses safari, science and exploration, all in one day! You will start off bright and early at the gates of the world famous Lake Nakuru National Safari Park in search of a vast array of animals. Next you will head to the Earth’s Equator for a unique science experiment. WHAT MIGHT YOU SEE? Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for being home to lion, giraffe, zebra, flamingo, gazelle, waterbuck, buffalo, white rhino, baboon, leopard and 300 species of bird.
– Performances and entertainment by local groups.
6/6/22– Travel to Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha (About 80kms from Nakuru); activities would include; swimming in the Largest Natural spa in East and Central Africa, Experiencing a unique adventurous biking Safari in a National park and being able to see wild animals like Buffalos, Baboons, Antelopes, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas e.t.c. spectacular scenery including towering cliffs, water gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes among other things. The place doesn’t host dangerous animals, thus making cycling and walking extremely excellent activities..
7/6/22– Some free time and Departure depending with flight schedules.

Trip package cost 1275€ per person; includes all the basics as mentioned below;

  • Return airport transfers while in Kenya and daily transport throughout the trip.
  • Activities’ participation fees, all planning, coordination, and administration fees.
  • Hotel accommodation in a double/twin room with 3 meals each day.
  • Entry fees to all the tourist destinations
  • Orientation and pre planned music and tourist activities.
  • Dedicated, experienced and well-informed trip organizers giving you a well-co-ordinated trip.
  • Visa application support and advise on flight bookings.
  • Local cultural events and activities

What’s not included;

  • Flight tickets; usually ranges between 500 – 650€ depending with how early we make the bookings.
  • Visa fees @ 50€
  • Any vaccinations if needed.
  • Drinks during the trip.
  • Any other personal stuffs.
